Fishing Offshore 1770 Charters Welcome to Fishing Offshore 1770. We specialize in Reef and Offshore fishing on the Southern Great Barrier Reef. based out of the Town of Seventeen Seventy & Agnes Water, you will be fishing out of a comfortable custom built foam cored 26 foot fishing boat.

 We will quickly have you out on the fishing grounds targeting a wide range of fish, such as Red Emperor, Coral Trout, Spangled Emperor, Spanish Mackerel and Black Marlin.

 With the Skippers Master 5, and years of commercial experience, you will have the ability to fish the best grounds that the southern Great Barrier Reef has to offer. These hot fishing spots are located 18mile out and beyond. With endless fishing possibilities and freedom, you will be limited only by your imagination.

The Boat

The boat is a custom built foam cored 26 footer, that has a 3.5 x 2.5 metre cockpit, with unrestricted access for ease of fishing. It features a complete “Reelax” game fishing set up, which is excellent for all forms of fishing. It is powered by a 230 horsepower Yanmar diesel inboard, which provides a cruising speed of 20 knots in most sea conditions. The boat is in 2C survey for up to 6 passengers out to 50 nautical miles. Combined with the skipper’s Master 5, which is valid up to 200 nautical miles offshore, and a 500 litre fuel capacity, anywhere within range of 1770 is a possibility for a day trip. There is a proper toilet on board
